Summary
Semiconductor History Museum of Japan is a web-based virtual museum of semiconductor history of Japan which is administered by Society of Semiconductor Industry Specialists (SSIS).
Japan together with US has played an important role and contributed to the development of the global semiconductor industry ever since it was initiated by the invention of the transistor at the Bell Laboratories in US.
The Japanese semiconductor industry has also played an important role to form a fundamental basis for the development of “electronic society” and “IT society” in Japan.
It is now expected to play the same important role of “the age of environment” of today and the future.
Semiconductor History Museum of Japan aims at playing the role of an information source to serve general public as well as semiconductor industry people.
