We deeply appreciate your understanding and donation to the project to further improve “Semiconductor History Museum of Japan - SHMJ.”
The history of Japanese semiconductor industry has already been compiled and edited in various aspects to form the basis of History Museum through the past projects, with more than 4,000 accesses to this day. The main target of current “Project-3” is to set up English version of SHMJ, thus enabling the access from overseas.
Japan made significant contribution to the global semiconductor industry since the very early days, and we think it is very meaningful to share this history with the global industry world.
The Japanese semiconductor and related factory operations were severely damaged by the Earthquake and Giant Tsunami on 3.11, and the global automotive and other industries experienced severe supply chain problems. The important role of the semiconductor to the global industry was clearly re-confirmed in an unexpected way through this catastrophe. We will make continuous efforts to appeal the importance of semiconductor industry, and to pass its history to the future generations.
